The people of Stoke-on-Trent have chosen Unity Walk as the name of Realis Estates’ new retail-led scheme, which the developer is planning to build on the site of the East West Centre and the Old Bus Station.

Realis ran an online poll allowing locals to decide on the scheme’s name with 446 people choosing between the three options: Unity Walk, Rectory Quarter and Eastwood.

The final breakdown of votes was:

Unity Walk – 202

Eastwood – 179

Rectory Quarter – 65

Duncan Mathieson, Managing Director of Realis Estates said: “We are delighted to announce that our new scheme will be called Unity Walk and would like to thank all the people that took part in our poll.  Now we have our brand in place we are now working hard to finalise our first tenants and also prepare for the public exhibition in early September.”

The Public Exhibition will run from 08 – 10 September 2016 in Stoke-on-Trent City Centre.
