Realis Estates’ ever-popular annual charity comedy night in aid of Acorns Children’s Charity will take place on Thursday 16 May 2019 at the Glee Club in Birmingham. Sponsored by Trident Building Consultancy, Lambert Smith Hampton, Projex Building Solutions, FiveorSix, PDR Construction, Greenberg Traurig and Mainstream Print, the event is looking to build on the £800,000 Realis has already raised or saved for the charity over the past 6 years.
Guest will once again get to enjoy four of the UK’s top Comedy acts, the now legendary chicken or vegetable curry and there will also be a host of raffle and auction prizes to bid on too including a sparring session with Richard Riakporhe, the current WBA Intercontinental Cruiserweight Champion.
Tickets are priced at £40 – which includes drinks on arrival and the curry – and are currently on sale. All proceeds from the event will go towards helping Acorns Children’s Charity continue to provide specialist care and support, fun and laughter for children and young people with life limiting or life threatening conditions and their families.
Established in 1988, Acorns Children’s Hospice Trust offers a network of care for life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people and their families, across the Midlands. In the last year, Acorns has supported 870 children and 1,140 families, including those who are bereaved.
Duncan Mathieson, Managing Director of Realis Estates said: “I am incredibly proud to be an Honorary Vice President of this wonderful charity and of the support we have provided over the years. Our comedy night is a very popular night on the calendar, which raises valuable funds for Acorns and I hope our guests will be as generous as they have been in previous years.”
