Realis Estates has submitted a planning application to Stoke-on-Trent City Council for its new 435,000 sq ft mixed-use development Unity Walk, which it hopes to develop on the site of the former bus station and old East West Centre.
Popular brands M&S (50,000 sq ft) and Next (26,000 sq ft) are already lined up to be the two anchor tenants at Unity Walk and discussions are progressing well with a national cinema operator as well as with other retailers, restaurants and cafes.
Formal negotiations also progressing well with Stoke-on-Trent City Council to reach a new agreement to allow Realis Estates to develop the old bus station land.
Duncan Mathieson, Managing Director of Realis Estates said: “Submitting this planning application is a major step forward for our vision of the city centre. Since the public exhibition in September, we have worked incredibly hard to ensure the application was submitted on schedule and we look forward to hopefully securing permission in the New Year (2017).”
