Home Bargains, one of the country’s fastest growing discount retailers, is preparing to open in Evesham’s Riverside Shopping Centre on 16 October. The store will become one of the operator’s regional flagship stores.

Home Bargains is set to move into the 10,000 sq ft former Marks & Spencer store, creating 30 new jobs as part of its £500,000 investment.

The retailer has over 200 stores throughout the UK, mostly in the Midlands and Wales. It plans open a further 50 outlets across the country in the next 12 months.

Lisa Hopkins, Centre Manager at Riverside, commented:
“The arrival of Home Bargains is great news for the centre and for the rest of Evesham. The store is a fantastic addition to the line up at Riverside and gives our loyal customers yet another reason to keep coming back.”

Duncan Mathieson, Managing Director at Realis Estates – which asset manages The Riverside on behalf of AXA Real Estate – commented: “We are working hard to make sure that Evesham remains a leading shopping destination. Home Bargains is the latest top brand to join the centre and we are optimistic that there will be further lettings at the scheme in the future.”
